Capture magnificent panoramic views from Mount Barker Hill Lookout and be amazed by the height of the television tower that sits proudly on top of the hill. Whilst unable to climb the tallest free standing tower in the southern hemisphere, you will still be able to enjoy the same uninterrupted views of the Stirling and Porongurup Ranges and as far south as the coastal town of Albany. Very few places offer such spectacular views of the countryside. You cannot miss the television tower, which will guide you to the lookout. It is a great spot to sit down with a hot drink or picnic lunch and absorb the sheer beauty of the view. Don't forget to bring along a set of binoculars and a camera to get the most out of your visit. Mount Barker Hill Lookout is just ten minutes drive from Mount Barker and four and a half hours drive south of Perth. Whilst in the area, explore the award winning wineries of the Great Southern region and witness the spectacular display of wildflowers that coat the countryside in spring.
